Privacy

This notice explains how Yashina Tutors handles personal data when you use this website or contact us.

Who is responsible

Dr Alexandra Yashina, Yashina Tutors, Zürich, Switzerland. Email info@yashina-tutors.ch, telephone +41 76 819 01 71.

Enquiries

When you send the contact form, we receive the details you enter: the email address or phone number for our reply, and anything optional you add, such as your name, level, subject, message and preferred format. The website passes them to us as one email and does not store them itself. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange tuition. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp instead, we receive the details you send there.

Email and retention

Our email service is Google Workspace. Google may process data outside Switzerland, including in the USA. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to provide any tuition that follows, and delete them afterwards unless the law requires us to keep them.

Hosting and server records

The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online in Germany. For security and basic visit statistics, the server records requests. Statistics records contain shortened IP addresses and are deleted after 30 days. Full IP addresses are kept for 2 days, only to detect and block attacks. Fonts are served from the same server; your browser does not contact a font service.

Google Analytics

Only if you agree, we use Google Analytics to measure page visits, clicks on our contact links and sent enquiries. Google receives usage and device information and may process it outside Switzerland, including in the USA. The content of the form is never sent to Google Analytics. We do not use personalised advertising. Analytics cookies and your choice last up to 180 days. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to info@yashina-tutors.ch. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
