Whether you are a first time publisher, need help with proofreading, or would like the perspective of someone not associated with your work or research group, we can help! To better understand their needs, our clients are first invited to meet our proofreaders in person or online for an introductory discussion of the requirements and agreement of the deadline. This ensures that we can provide a tailor made service just for you.
All our proofreaders are native English speakers with a PhD and experience in publishing in a field of STEM, including:
Specific subjects include, but are not limited to, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics and more!
What we offer:
- Help with the structure of a paper/thesis
- Correction of grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
- Help with following the guidelines of a journal
- Correction of format errors
- Provide suggestions of improvements in presenting results and data
- Clients’ specific requests
How does it work?
Once you send us your request and provide us with details of the type of written piece such as a journal paper, PhD thesis or conference paper, as well as your field and subject matter, we will match you with one of our subject-matter proofreaders. We will email you the profile of the proofreader and upon your approval; she/he will contact you to schedule the first meeting, which would be either online or face-to-face. The meeting provides an opportunity for you to explain your work, discuss deadlines, whether you want the item back completed or chapter-by-chapter, as well as to tell us any special requirements. You can then let our proofreaders do the work!
Academic proof reading and editing is charged per hour.
